My work has always combined photography, drawing and painting in some way. I enjoy working with photographic imagery and love to look at and think about straight photographs; especially landscape photographs. As I study landscape photographs I am drawn to ideas involving the nature of reality and the perception of the photograph as real. Landscape painting is seen as created or subjective. This play between real and unreal is reflected in the drawn and exposed areas of each photo/painting. Most of my photographs are one of a kind photo/paintings and will not be reproduced.
